Today’s tip is in response to many questions I’ve received from my coaching clients and Live Big Mastermind clients that can be best handled with a direct marketing approach.

If you want to target prospects who you don’t know or those in industries that are different from your own, these tips are for you!

No one “likes” to cold call, I get that. But direct marketing to a prospect list will work if you are creative and memorable – you have to Stand Out!

First of all, don’t send an email to someone you don’t know or who doesn’t know you. This is a huge mistake that many people make. You email will likely not be opened; most people will delete it without opening it. I use a different approach because it takes multiple touches to attract the attention of the prospect, referral sources, someone who books speakers, etc. My marketing and sales experience began in offline marketing, so this is one area that I learned to do quite well.
