I was inspired to write this article today because of a new coaching client that I have who was fearful of signing up to work with me because she’s invested before and not followed through.
She said she was a conference junkie and loved to learn. She told me she had invested thousands of dollars in other people’s programs, products and events but still wasn’t where she thought she’d be in her business by now.
Why is that? Well, maybe you’ve been here before, I know I have.
We feel like we don’t know enough yet or we still aren’t sure what to do because possibly we’ve invested in the wrong types of trainings, not ones that fit OUR learning or implementation style.
After all, implementation is the key right? We have to hold ourselves accountable (or get that accountability from a coach or mastermind) to making sure we do the things we need to do in our business to get more clients, make more money and grow the business.
But it’s not easy to hold yourself accountable or come to group calls and get what you need. I know because that didn’t work for me either.
But one thing you want to remember is that you have YOUR GENIUS and that’s what you are awesome at. Others will hire you for that genius and you’ll be the expert no matter how new to the business you are. You don’t have to act like the newbie. You probably already know more than you need to know in order to start getting clients and really helping them through whatever transformation they need.
If you’re not a coach and you need more training in your ‘craft’ ok, it’s possible. But don’t use that as an excuse to put off the marketing and sales. For most of you, you can make money now.
It just may be time to STOP LEARNING and START IMPLEMENTING!
Don’t hide behind that one last conference. Apply what you’ve learned and get it done!
If you need help with the actual doing of it all then THAT’s what you want to find support with, but not the learning of the thing. You most likely know that and know what to do but you just aren’t doing it.
I have people tell me all the time this is true when I point it out to them on a call or at an event. It’s not always what you WANT to hear but it could be what you NEED to hear.
STOP LEARNING and START IMPLEMENTING!
Get help with the implementation piece if you need to but put down the audios, CDs and stop registering for the free webinars (for right now if this is you and you know it is). Just dive in and do it. Build that website, write that copy, do those blog posts, get that home page video done, develop that talk, go reach out to book yourself as a speaker, write that book, plan out your event….whatever is weighing on you to get done or whatever is your next step in jumpstarting your business, just do it!
