I see so many people using social media for their crazy sales strategies that are NOT doing them any favor. Just like you don’t want to be “that guy” or “that girl” at the networking event that is shoving your card in people’s faces and then walking away… you do NOT want to be that person on social media sites. You can get a bad reputation just the same.
One of my biggest pet peeves I’ll share in the body of this blog post, then you have to watch the video for others, is: when people tag me in posts that clearly have NOTHING to do with me and they get their post featured on my profile wall. ANNOYING to say the least!! Do not do this.
If you want my attention (or someone’s attention that you care about), you cannot do this, we will eventually BLOCK you or unfriend you if you continue. Pay attention and take the time to get to know me, engage with me and then ask me to support you if that’s what your goal is. But don’t force me to support you by tagging me. ARGH!!

Do you see how you’re getting less and less people noticing your posts, especially on Facebook these days? Wondering what you did? If your posts are not getting noticed, it’s time to look at your strategies on Facebook.
What do you need to do to get more people paying attention and engaging with you?
Well, I put together a short list of things my team and I are doing now on Facebook…. every social site is a bit different but Facebook is the one that changes most often. You want to change your strategies with Facebook for best ROI.
Here’s where we recommend you focus right now:
Facebook live videos – on your personal profile or inside a group you run or another group IF you’ve been invited to do that.
Social media private messaging – this is a huge way to connect with thousands of people every single month BUT you have to be very careful how you word your messages and how many you send at one time. (they’ve been known to shut down profiles)
Social media etiquette – watch out for doing spammy things on FB. Stop it. Heed good etiquette rules of conduct. Don’t know what those are? Well… be less salesy for one.
Provide all value no pitch content initially then take it offline for more.
Get off to sell unless you want to spend big money on FB ads!
Engage inside groups and start your own with a theme. Connect, comment, give, advice and give resources to be seen as a valuable resource. Others will follow you if they see you’re a giver with a heart.
Don’t focus on your business page (unless you want to pay to play), it’s not worth it unless you have thousands or more followers and a very interactive group who comment and share your posts regularly.
Why listen to this advice? Well, do you want to waste time on social media or spend it wisely and get clients or referrals from it? You decide!
I’ve been online for a long time and stay up to date regularly on changes and trends, things that work and don’t work anymore. Do you?
That’s not to say this advice could change soon too – you want to keep checking back for sure as it’s an ever-evolving marketing strategy.

When you are broadcasting or doing a video online, it’s like you’re attending a networking event and you are the featured speaker!

It’s important that your Live Videos don’t die on the platform you broadcasted them on – Repurpose them.
Each platform has different limits for Video and Live streaming. What you are publishing YouTube isn’t the same as what you will be publishing on Instagram.
If your Video is longer than the length the platform you want to share it on will allow, you simply edit it to show shorter videos like snippets, teasers, and highlights.
You don’t have to invest in a lot of expensive equipment to get started. A smartphone is all you need.

Today I want to give you some Holiday Marketing Tips to help you get more clients!
It’s crunch time, we are nearing the middle of December, and you want end the year strong with more income that you’ve made so far in your business, right?. Who doesn’t?
But what is actually going on in December? Lots of distractions, that’s what! Holiday parties, holiday luncheons, holiday shopping expos, and so on. But think about it, there is not a lot of business networking going on during the month.
So what is your plan to find those prospects who are actually ready and willing to buy from you in December, something that is not holiday oriented or a holiday gift to buy?
The number one goal is to get people on the phone with you! If you are an online marketer, are all of your prospects also online? Are you sure they are seeing all of the things on your website that you have for sale?
And what about your higher priced offerings. When people have their mind on the holidays, they are less likely to click the button to purchase your $200 offering. People who are going to pay a few hundred dollars or a few thousand dollars with you will most likely want to have a conversation with you first.
So how will you generate someone’s interest to have a phone conversation with you?

Are you an entrepreneur who is not sure what you should be doing every month or every week? Here are 3 ways to engage with me further and get the support and training that you can use to jumpstart your business FAST:
Most people don’t do enough follow up and those people are missing out on Thousands and Thousands of Dollars! You need to start learning a system to improve your Follow up and to attract more people from the networking events you attend.
If you are going to spend time at a networking event, if you speak at a networking event, or if you are an exhibitor or a sponsor at a networking event and you have a display table, you have to make the effort to maximize your return of your investment of time and money to be at that event. You want to capture as many leads as possible.
I’m listing these types of LEADS into 3 categories as follows:
Hot Leads – you want to capture as many HOT leads as possible. You want to talk with the 3 or 4 people who want to book you for a speaking event or hire you. Follow up with them FIRST!
Warm Leads – these are the people who will likely buy from you or book you as a speaker within the next 6 months to a year.
Cold Leads – are the ones who might start watching for your emails and learning from you. Something in their life may shift and they will want to hire you. This can take from 1 to 5 years or more to convert these prospects into buyers.
When following up, you CANNOT rely solely on your email marketing these days. Some people think they only have to put these prospects on an email list. They are WRONG and you have to be careful not to spam people – get more information on this in the video. You need to start putting your mailing address on your business card as well as your phone number, your email list and website information. This is why…
There are 4 Methods of Follow Up:
Email – your digital newsletter and other email communication that relates specifically to them.
Phone – remind them you sent an email with a freebie they were looking for.
Direct Mail – send them a note that says, “It was great to meet you, let’s have a phone conversation so I can learn more about you.”
Social Media – send a message to them to check their email for what you sent to them.
You have to approach your follow up marketing in different ways. Why? Because people are busy, they are as busy as you are! So make sure you are following up in those 4 different ways after every event. Get your system organized NOW!
