As the Queen of Follow Up, some people tend to call me, people are surprised all the time how I manage to be everywhere. They see me in their inbox, mailbox, and in their face on a regular basis.
At least that’s what I used to preach to clients about how to follow up and stay ‘top of mind’ with their prospects, clients and referral sources – you’ve got to do email, mail and face-to-face connecting and follow up.
But it’s not just about doing the regular type of follow up anymore; it’s about having a very Interactive Follow Up System that is now the key to your success.
I coined the term Interactive Follow Up and define it as:
A two way approach to connecting and building relationships between business owners and their prospects.
You see, the regular type of follow up most people still do (if they do any at all) is one-way follow up; sending an email or two, mail a note card or brochure or leaving a message.

Ways to interact more in your follow up (include but are not limited to):
1. Picking up the phone and initiating a meeting

3. Initiating feedback on something you said or sent
4. Initiating interaction with surveys, quizzes, polls, contests and testimonial requests
5. Giving free gifts of audio recordings, reports or videos to have people get a ‘taste’ of what you do
6. Giving people the opportunity to have an interactive conversation with you to see if or how you can help them (no, not a free consultation!)
You’ve simply got to do MORE than ever these days to follow up and most of you aren’t even doing the ‘regular’ follow up needed much less getting creative with interactive follow up strategies.
