What a fun week it’s been so far….meeting great people and listening to speakers including a bunch of TED inspired talks at the eWomenNetwork event yesterday….and next week I’ll be in Colorado Springs speaking at the eWN chapter there – so excited!! Meanwhile, one of the speakers yesterday, my friend Jake Tuschinski, did a quick talk about how so many of us always say we’re so “busy”. Oct 22, 5:30 pm PST – Kat is co-hosting the Women Speakers Association LIVE Meetup in Sacramento for the first of what will be monthly events in the area. This month’s meeting will be held at the Momo Lounge on J St.; there will be a no host bar and everyone will be able to purchase food too. The goal of this event is to support local speakers and budding speakers with resources, networking, connections and more locally and internationally via the WSA website and benefits. Meetings are currently FREE and include a FREE Associate Membership to the WSA! Please RSVP here now as we do need an accurate head count.
Boy am I glad my whirlwind of trips is over (for pictures check out my Facebook). Can you believe I did nothing but sit on my couch with my honey this last Sunday ALL DAY watching TV, movies and recorded shows we wanted to catch up on? I know, I don’t do that very often but it was soooooo nice to unplug like that and just veg. Can you relate?
Then of course, it was time to hit the ground running with FOLLOW UP this week and the implementing of everything I want to change and do from all the events I went to or spoke at. In fact I blocked 3 separate times on my calendar to do just these things. Do you do that? I recommend you try…
This week’s video tip is all about Getting More Time Back or technically….clearing space. One of the main things I work with my coaching clients on is their time management, what to focus on, how to manage their time, etc. BECAUSE….if you don’t create more space or time for yourself you won’t have the time to do the additional marketing strategies that you desperately need to do to grow your business! I know you’re already wayyyyy tooooooo busy right? Of course you are, there isn’t any entrepreneur that isn’t too busy already.
BUT….ARE YOU BUSY WITH THE RIGHT ACTIVITIES AND TASKS? Probably not always.

Jane’s got a really cool techy tool called her Value Quiz, that got me going on this topic this week too all about techy tools. It’s fascinating how much you can get done with the right technology in place in your business, your marketing, your website and in general.
After our call on Monday I attended a SpeakerChat with the Women Speakers Association on Tuesday all about podcasts (another techy tool!).
Podcasts have always been something I’d “get to when I have time” (maybe you can relate?). But this speaker who chatted with us online that day reminded me how easy it was to create podcasts of stuff I already had! Genius! And a BIG DUH for me I must say.
So that prompted this video today – don’t be scared if you’re not a techy or not too tech savvy, it’s ok, trust me, YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW THIS STUFF CAN HELP YOU GROW YOUR BUSINESS AND STOP WORKING SO HARD!! (Yes, I’m yelling at you, can you hear me? Stop working so hard!)

I’m so excited to be home from my travels….I have a few more in Sept – I’ll be in Monterey, then LA twice. My life is crazy busy right now with speaking gigs, interviews, telesummits and my own events and calls thank goodness I have a few assistants who manage some of this and a very sweet boyfriend who puts up with my craziness….it’s good but when you’ve got a lot of balls in the air, organization becomes critical.
That’s one of the challenges and the blessings when you become more known as an expert in your industry, get out more and have a bigger follwoing.
I’m not trying to brag here. What I’m trying to express is that it’s not always easier when you get bigger or make more money. In fact, you want to learn how to delegate, automate and systematize the things you’re doing every month as soon as you can so that when the time comes for YOU to be swamped with fun, exciting opportunities, you’re prepared.
There is NO better time than NOW to get yourself and your business PREPARED for what’s to come. Because when you get there and try to ‘do this then’, trust me, you won’t have time and you’ll do it all haphazzardly.
So, when I say I’m crazy busy, that doesn’t mean I don’t have time for YOU. Although that’s sometimes what people hear when they listen to me or watch me. In fact, because I have systems in place and people to help me, I do have time to talk with entrepreneurs like yourself who need help. That’s what I’m here for and that’s what lights my fire…is to help you get this stuff set up and your business running like a smooth-running, moneymaking machine!

I know this doesn’t come easy for a lot of you however. Some of my more introverted coaching clients however are downright scared to go to such a big event. I make it easier for them however by sharing more with them on what to do, say and bring so they’re more confident about it all.
You can make a BIG impression at an event or conference AND get a lot of paying clients from such events …. IF you know what to do to maximize your time before, during and after each event.
