Today my Idea in the Shower was What If People Charged What They Were Worth?

What if your hourly rate, your package price, or your annual program, or whatever you do was priced really high? I hate to see that some of you are NOT charging what you are worth for your services or products.

When people ask me what they should charge for their program, I answer that “you should charge as much as you can without stuttering”.

So let’s talk about pricing today!

I’ve found that many people starting out look at the marketplace, their competitors’ prices, and they charge something similar or many times, lower, because they are new to the business. That’s not the best thing to do!

For example, many times people who have the education and training needed in an industry but who are new entrepreneurs charge less than someone who has been an entrepreneur in that same industry for a longer period of time, but without the same level of training! Just because they’ve been in business longer doesn’t mean they are better. These new entrepreneurs should be charging what they are worth right out of the gate! They can still negotiate custom packages and pricing or beta test pricing with a lower price. When you are starting out, you need to get some clients to try your service or product; you need to get feedback and testimonials – people who like what you offer and have good things to say about you (so you can get more clients, right).

You need to start thinking outside the box about your pricing!

My Ideas I Get While in the Shower this morning is about Ideas I had about my new podcast today while I was in the Shower.

For those of you who didn’t know, I used to have a radio show on Blog Talk Radio with many followers. But once that show ran its course and I haven’t replaced it (yet) with another radio show or podcast, but…

I am starting up my new podcast very soon and my Ideas today were about what to name it. I’m trying to come up with the best name for it, something cutting edge. It dawned on me to ask for you, my followers; to give me some input on what you think is the best name for my new podcast.

I have several brands such as Jumpstart Your Marketing and Love Money to name a couple. I’ve thought about naming the podcast something similar to the name of some of my Events, like Jumpstart Your Biz in a Weekend or my Love and Money Live event.

My ultimate goal for being in business is to help others create a BIGGER LIFE for themselves. And a Big Life to me means more Love in your Life, more Money in your Business and living bigger – whatever that means to you!

I want to share some tips with you about Live Events and how to host your own Live Events. While networking in my local area, I’ve noticed that there are more people who are hosting their own Events.

Now back to my tips about Hosting Your Live Event…

I’m frequently asked about how to host live events by people who may or may not have been coached on this important topic. It’s clear to me who hasn’t received coaching on hosting live events and I’m sure these people are not getting the results they had expected.

I’ve been to many different types of events – some have been extravagant, attended by many people where we were treated to free food and drink. Yes, they were phenomenal! But for most of us entrepreneurs, we need to have the end result in mind when we plan our events.

How will we or can we make the event profitable?

One of the biggest profit killers of a live event budget is providing too much food and beverage and/or the number of rooms blocked off in the hotel where the event is being held, if you don’t have enough people signing up at your event.

There are many ways to have an engaging and exciting event without spending too much money or blowing up your budget. For those who are just starting to hold events, my advice is: You need to be practical.  And that’s the kind of advice and guidance I provide when coaching people who are holding live events.  Keep the end result in mind – Keep it profitable.

Ever feel like you were stuck in your business or personal life? Do you need motivation to make a change?

Have you felt like you are struggling to get things going so you can get ahead?  Sure, we’ve all had “one of those days”. But recently I’ve discovered there are many business owners out there who need more motivation and guidance to get unstuck. They seem to be struggling with doing the things they need to do to make changes to move their businesses forward.

I’ve been there, believe me. Since I’ve been in business, things seem to progress faster and it’s sometimes hard to keep up with technology that has changed dramatically.  I know how hard it is to find balance when you are working to uplevel yourself, your knowledge or skills, create programs, find new clients and still make time for myself and my family and friends.  I’ve been there – where many of you are right now.

But today, I can’t complain because I’ve had a consistent flow of new clients without having to work as hard as I used to. I no longer have to focus on “making a sale” or “getting a new client” every week or every day.

It is so empowering at this stage in business when people come to you because you are seen as the expert. So, I’m here today to motivate you and let you know that you too can make it to this stage of your business. You just need the right kind of help.

If you are having a hard time right now trying to get clients; if you are struggling with technology or the things you need to do to move your business forward, I want you to realize that it can all be a little easier for you someday soon. And someday soon can come a LOT sooner than you may realize if you just reach out for advice, resources and training.

Seriously, getting the advice, resources and training that was needed, whether in business or personal life, is the ONLY way that I’ve finally gotten to where I’ve gotten in my business and boy, let me tell you, I am by no means done stretching and growing!

I know that sometimes it’s just the smallest tweak or the simplest shift in your business, your marketing, your mindset or your life in general that can catapult you into a place where are you the happiest you’ve ever been while making a lot more money doing what you love.

I want you to know that YOU CAN DO THIS!

You can be happy and in love in your personal life with the perfect and ideal significant other that you need (and deserve) while making a whole lot of money doing the business of your dreams, doing what you love and making a huge impact on those you serve.

It’s been about a year and a half since I had to put my Zeke to sleep and I miss him but it was time we got a new family dog. Meet “Willow” our very sweet 3 year old German Shepherd! She’s been really fun and getting along great so far even though we’ve only had her for 2 days!

One of my mastermind clients and I had the same type of call today in fact which gave me this idea. She said she needed a list of daily tasks that she could do for marketing, sales and growing her business.
