We’re almost to the half way mark for the year and boy is it flying by!
I wanted to let you in on a little secret that I’m doing right now in my business and it’s about getting back to the basics.
Yes, you heard it here first….the queen of doing all kinds of stuff in her biz is still doing the basics!
Why? Because that what works! (in any economy)
You see, while the leveraged business models are still working, there are some business models that you want to spend your time on and some you ABSOLUTELY DON’T right now….
It’s time to ‘Get Back to the Basics’ of what works in your business, the types of things you’re selling, your marketing, your follow up and your overall effective work habits.
In the last few months every business owner I’ve spoken to has all had the same questions:
“What can I do that will bring me more business, nothing is working?”
“Where should I be focusing in my business, I feel like I’m spinning my wheels?”
“How do I get out of overwhelm? There’s so much to do!”
Well, you’re not alone. However there’s a lot of hypy sales stuff out there that sounds great and sounds like it could help you make millions of dollars but will it really work for YOUR type of business and YOU?
Can you risk it financially right now to ‘try it out’?
Most of you I know cannot; neither do I want to take some of those risks so I’m with you here.
What I’m suggesting is getting back to the basics, getting back to building and cultivating relationships with everyone you know. I know you know this, but I’ll bet you’re NOT REALLY DOING THIS?
No entrepreneur I see is doing enough personal connecting, following up, promotion and marketing and most of this little to no money.
You need the RIGHT PLAN of action to show you which steps to take so you can get moving – you need to do BOTH offline and online marketing activities these days to really get where you need to go. That plan needs to consist of many basics – its the marketing basics that will pull you through this tough time. It’s the marketing basics that I’ve been doing since day one in my business and will continue to do every year….because they work.
Basics of Offline Marketing Could Include:
- Direct Mail
- Phone calls
- Referral rewards
- In store Promotions
- Live Events / Tradeshows
Basics of Online Marketing Could Include:
- Social Media
- Websites – professionally built and copywritten
- Opt-in boxes, online offers
- Shopping Carts, Email Marketing Programs
- Video Marketing – youtube
- Article Marketing
- Webinars / Teleclasses
- eBooks and info-products
- Search engine optimization
- Web directories
And more on each really….there is so much one small business can do these days but how do you know what to implement FIRST!?
If you implement the above strategies OUT OF ORDER in your business then you may waste a lot of time and money without seeing RESULTS. I want to prevent that from happening to you….
