Today my Idea in the Shower was What If People Charged What They Were Worth?

What if your hourly rate, your package price, or your annual program, or whatever you do was priced really high? I hate to see that some of you are NOT charging what you are worth for your services or products.

When people ask me what they should charge for their program, I answer that “you should charge as much as you can without stuttering”.

So let’s talk about pricing today!

I’ve found that many people starting out look at the marketplace, their competitors’ prices, and they charge something similar or many times, lower, because they are new to the business. That’s not the best thing to do!

For example, many times people who have the education and training needed in an industry but who are new entrepreneurs charge less than someone who has been an entrepreneur in that same industry for a longer period of time, but without the same level of training! Just because they’ve been in business longer doesn’t mean they are better. These new entrepreneurs should be charging what they are worth right out of the gate! They can still negotiate custom packages and pricing or beta test pricing with a lower price. When you are starting out, you need to get some clients to try your service or product; you need to get feedback and testimonials – people who like what you offer and have good things to say about you (so you can get more clients, right).

You need to start thinking outside the box about your pricing!
